What a fantastic day of Call of Duty at CWL Champs 2019. The fourth day of action did not disappoint, as the remaining teams duked it out to earn the right to advance to Championship Sunday. After a whirlwind of matches, we are down to six. And there were certainly some shockers along the way.

The second day of bracket play saw titans of Call of Duty eliminated from Champs and underdogs move on. However, the biggest story of the day is the upcoming Winners Bracket Final between the two hottest teams, OpTic Gaming and eUnited. Let’s dive in and go over all that happened on day 4 at CWL Champs.

OpTic Gaming and eUnited set for a titanic showdown

Going into CoD Champs, it was fairly clear eUnited had the most momentum of any squad. After winning in Miami, eUnited look as poised as ever and could very well sweep this tournament. That said, one could argue they benefitted from an easier side of the bracket.

On the flip side, OpTic Gaming seemingly came out of nowhere to storm their way into the Winners Finals. Having taken their CWL Las Vegas form, OpTic is the best-looking team at Champs so far. They haven’t gone to a single map 5 yet. The young guns, Dashy and TJHaly, are performing otherworldly, as seen in these clips below.

Of course, many expected the two prodigies to play well. The real story of OpTic at Champs is the veteran performance from Scump, Karma, and Crimsix. All three are firing on all cylinders. If this team synergy continues, OG won’t be easy to stop.

The Winners Bracket Finals take place at 2:30 p.m. ET on Championship Sunday.

100 Thieves stay alive in the Losers Bracket

Losing to Luminosity in the Winners Bracket certainly wasn’t part of the plan for 100 Thieves. However, after a crazy reverse sweep of FaZe Clan in Losers Round 1, 100T continues to get stronger with every Losers Bracket win.

In their first match of the day, they took on upstart Sicario Gaming. This match wasn’t truly close in any of the games, as 100T took all of the respawn modes to secure a 3-1 win. However, their next series against Evil Genuises, on paper, looked like it would be a dog fight.

Even so, 100T kept on improving and demolished EG with a clean 3-0 sweep to make it to Championship Sunday. They’ll take on Team Reciprocity at 1:00 p.m. ET.

Luminosity fall to Enigma 6, ending their Champs run

It was a true up-and-down tournament for Luminosity. After fighting back from the brink to earn a spot in the Winners Bracket, they beat perhaps the favorite of the tournament in 100 Thieves. This success was short-lived, though, as they fell 2-3 in a nail-biting series against Team Reciprocity.

Dropping to the Losers Bracket, LG faced another tough task in Enigma 6, who looked solid until they went up against OpTic. Another back and forth match ended up not going LG’s way, and they bow out of CWL Champs with a top 8 finish.

While it wasn’t the result they hoped for, LG had a great run after all had seemed lost on Wednesday. Enigma 6 takes on UNITS in the Losers Bracket at 1:00 p.m. ET (Bravo stream).
