With immediate effect, Brazilian AWPer Henrique "HEN1" Teles has been benched by Luminosity Gaming. HEN1 is now a restricted free-agent under the Luminosity organization, this gives the team the ability to deny or accept offers with regards to contractual obligations.
According to a report from HLTV.org, Luminosity are in talks with fielding 17-year old W7M player Felipe "skullz" Medeiros as a replacement. However, according to Yahoo Esports, Luminosity are looking to bring Marcelo "chelo" Cespedes back into the roster after he departed in 2018.
HEN1 has spent the last year at Luminosity, joining in June 2018. However, the team finished last at the Finals, losing to MIBR. Moreover, the team finished top 8 at the Intel Extreme Masters Season XIII - Chicago, losing to mousesports.
This move comes shortly after Luminosity transferred Lucas "LUCAS1" Teles to MIBR in June. The move was a swap loan deal for João "felps" Vasconcellos. It is unknown at this time whether felps will join Luminosity on a permanent basis. MIBR are also having trouble with its roster after the removal of star-player Marcelo “coldzera” David from the starting line-up, citing the desire for a new challenge as the main reason for the move.
