Teams have had a small break in this 2019 season since mid-late July due to the StarLadder Major being at the end of the month. The Major Main qualifier is from August 23-26. Finally, the StarLadder Major legends and championship stages are from August 28-September 8.

As Valve have already set the dates for the next Majors, the first event will be from May 11-24, 2020 and then November 2-15, 2020. Therefore, the player break will be after the first Major and before the second. This will give time for players to rest and provides teams more time to learn and go over their previous mistakes from the last Major.

The 2021 player break should be announced around the same time next year.
