After Fatih “gob b” Dayik announced his retirement earlier today, the organization has officially announced that Owen “smooya” Butterfield and Johannes “nex” Maget will replace the legendary player, as well as Denis “denis” Howell, on the starting roster. However, nex will be returning from his injury before he is fully incorporated into the lineup. Therefore, Nikola “LEGIJA” Ninić will be brought back as a temporary replacement.
The move comes after Dexerto’s Dekay first reported that the organization was exploring options for both gob b and denis. The report also claimed Sprout coach Tobias “TowB” Herberhold could be replacing Alexander “kakafu” Szymanczyk as head coach for BIG. Kakafu has now stepped down, but a replacement has not been announced. This is set to occur in the following weeks.
Moreover, Dekay’s report claims that nex’s addition could only be temporary and is not the first choice.
Announced via Twitter, the retired gob b claimed a major change was needed in the roster and the decisions were going to be difficult.
