North American team NRG and European team mousesports have qualified for the StarLadder Major after winning the Americas and Europe Minors respectively. Both teams will now play in the StarLadder Major Main qualifier, which is the initial stage of the Major. 16 teams will compete to win a slot at the StarLadder Major and Legend status, which gives the team an automatic spot at the next Major.
NRG had a dominant victory at the Americas Minor. Although some games were close, the team did not lose a single map throughout the tournament. On the first day, NRG dispatched joint-last finishers TeamOne convincingly 16-5. Then, NRG would go on to beat Brazilian teams Sharks and FURIA in two best-of-three’s, winning both 2-0. Finally, the North Americans beat INTZ 2-0 in the Upper Bracket Finals.
Therefore, NRG is the first North American team to qualify for the StarLadder Major 2019 through the Americas Minor.

On the other hand, mousesports started poorly in the Europe Minor by initially losing to NoChance 16-14. The form continued as mousesports was down one map to Sprout. However, the team came back to win the second map and eventually taking the series 2-1. After, mousesports got its revenge on NoChance, beating the team in a best-of-three 2-1. Finally, mousesports found its form after the team dismantled both fnatic and North 2-0 to win the Europe Minor.
Therefore, mousesports is the first European team to qualify for the StarLadder Major 2019 through the Europe Minor.
There will be one more team from each Minor that will direct qualify for the StarLadder Major. Third place teams will play in the Minor Play-in for another shot at qualifying.
Once the final teams have made it to the Major Main qualifier, there will be a CIS and Asia Minor to decide the final slots, with the play-in shortly after.
