Windigo Managing Partner Maksym Bednarskyi announced via Instagram that both Ali “hAdji” Haïnouss and Buğra “Calyx” Arkın will be joining the Windigo roster to fill the vacant spots left by Viktor "v1c7oR" Dyankov and Yanko “blocker” Panov. Both players have been signed on a trial basis. The announcement comes days after Windigo stated that it will be pursuing an international roster going forward.
Calyx, who has played under a majority Turkish roster his entire professional career, is most famous for his long run on Space Soldiers. The team was considered to be a major player from 2017-2018, but the team started to lose its momentum in 2019. This led to the transfer of star-player Ismailcan “XANTARES” Dörtkardeş to BIG Clan, which led to the demise of the Space Soldiers project. Since then, Calyx has been a free agent and still a talented player at a young age.
Calyx recently played for Windigo at DreamHack Masters Dallas 2019 from May 28-June 2. Windigo finished top 12 after losing to FaZe Clan and North.
On the other hand, hAdji played for EnVy academy before being promoted to the main EnVy roster, replacing AWPer Christophe “SIXER” Xia. The team played relatively well, but failed to make a single final at a major LAN. Moreover, EnVy finished 12th in the ESL Pro League Season 7 Europe. Then on June 20 2018, EnVy parted ways with both rosters.
