Multiple top teams are set to compete in the upcoming Minor closed qualifiers, setting the stage for some of the most intense Minors yet.

Sixteen teams will battle for spots in their respective Minors, with the European teams getting eight spots for their eight team Minor. The North American teams, on the other hand, will receive six Minor spots for their eight team Minor, with the remaining two spots to be filled by South American teams.

These closed qualifiers are set to be the most competitive and high level yet, with multiple high ranked teams attending. The European closed qualifier features an astonishing 10 teams that are ranked #30 or higher in the world. Of these 10 teams Fnatic are the highest ranked, currently #7 in the world, and we will see them competing with the likes of Mousesports, OpTic, North, and BIG for a shot at just two Major spots.

Only three teams are ranked #30 or higher in the North American qualifier, of these NRG and Furia are the standouts, being ranked #10 and #11 respectively, while the remaining team, Cloud9, find themselves ranked #25.

NRG and Furia are favorites for their qualifier but will face a tough challenge from a multitude of teams that are on the cusp of the top 30 and looking to make a big upset. Teams like Luminosity, eUnited, ATK, and Singularity are all teams who are very capable of just that.

These teams are all set to compete very soon, with the European closed qualifier running from June 10 – 12, followed by the American closed qualifier from June 12 – 14.
