It's probably time.

Turkish Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player Buğra “Calyx” Arkın has entered free agency, according to an announcement tweeted by the former Space Soldiers member earlier today.

Since Space Soldiers dissolved last year, Calyx has been a rifler for “ex-Space Soldiers,” a team primarily composed of Space Soldiers’ former members. But this ad hoc team failed to win a single map at both the European Minor and ESL Pro League Season 9 Group Stage, and it appears the 20-year-old has had enough.

Despite his recent slide in results, Calyx has the pedigree of a top CS:GO competitor, boasting first-place finishes at majors such as DreamHack Austin 2018 and the Europe Minor Championship Boston 2018. All of Calyx’s strongest performances have come under the auspices of Space Soldiers, who he has credited for his strong mindset.

“Sometimes I lost my motivation,” he told Dot Esports after ESL One Belo Horizonte last June, “but my team is helping me a lot.”

Calyx will continue practicing with his former Space Soldiers teammates until he finds a new squad. Additionally, he may participate in FACEIT Pro League games during the interim. Thanks to his impressive resume and flexible outlook, Calyx may soon become one of the most desirable free agents in the world of Counter-Strike.
