CSGO organization Sprout is now down to three players on the roster, as Nils “k1to” Gruhne has left the German side. The 21-year-old may be on his way to joining BIG alongside his former teammate Florian “syrsoN” Rische, who also left Sprout earlier this month.
k1to exits Sprout
German player k1to joined Sprout from his former team, Epsilon, in May of this year. He replaced Denis “denis” Howell on the German roster, joining the ranks of Timo “Spiidi” Richter and co.
Before his exit, k1to helped Sprout in triumphing at ESL Meisterschaft Winter 2 Finals in Germany, getting to the final of DreamHack Open Atlanta and Games Clash Masters. Unfortunately, Sprout failed to qualify for the StarLadder Major, and they went out last in the qualifier in July on home turf.
Sprout left with an incomplete roster
Sprout seems to be in an extremely similar position as the Polish side ARCY ahead of 2020. Following several departures, both of these teams are now left with only three players on the roster, as well as their coach. For Sprout, the remaining roster is as follows:
- Denis “denis” Howell
- Josef “faveN” Baumann
- Timo “Spiidi” Richter
- (coach) Niclas “enkay J” Krumhorn
Nevertheless, the announcement tweet from the team seems pretty positive, and it briefly mentions that plans for 2020 “will follow.”
Today we are separating from @k1tocs with immediate effect. News regarding further plans will follow. We are looking forward to conquering 2020. See you soon! pic.twitter.com/Lq8cXvQSpG

As for now, we have not heard any major rumors about who might join the ranks of Sprout. The team is currently ranked 28th on the official HLTV global rankings and has been oscillating around the 20th to 30th place this past year.
