This week’s HLTV CSGO Global Ranking changes see BIG Clan make a massive leap into the top 30 after their success at DreamHack Open Leipzig. After a weak 2019Â season, BIG Clan made two major roster changes by bringing on Nils “k1to” Gruhne and Florian “syrsoN” Rische. In turn, however, they dropped re-signed AWPer Owen “smooya” Butterfield. Additionally, Renegades move up four places after losing the Leipzig final against BIG.
#22: BIG break back into top 30 in impressive fashion
The aforementioned changes to BIG’s roster have reaped benefits. BIG have finally managed to win a respectable LAN event after a major dry spell on their resume. On top of that, the German squad has kicked off 2020 in the best way possible. BIG swept all teams at DreamHack Open Leipzig, and didn’t drop a single map in the tournament.
The likes of Virtus.pro, Renegades, and Heroic did not stand a chance against the reborn German formation. The victory also automatically secured a spot for the team at DreamHack Masters Jönköping in June.

BIG’s victory has made them jump a stunning 24 spots in HLTV’s Global Ranking. BIG Clan sit tight at spot #22.
#20: Renegades move up four spots
Renegades came into this tournament with a new roster, namely the ex-Greyhound team, after losing their original roster to 100 Thieves. Additionally, the new Renegades team recently swapped out Ollie “DickStacy” Tierney for another Australian CSGO player, Jordan “Hatz” Bajic.
The new formation went on to reach the final of DreamHack Open Leipzig, but were ultimately no match against BIG. Despite their loss in the finale, their performance was enough to impress many and receive a more-than-decent boost in the Global Rankings.
