Before Season 2 of Fortnite began, there were rumors that the unreleased “Oro” skin could come into play. After all, the map was turning to gold and Oro does have an obsession with the metal. Of course, none of these rumors came to fruition and the community was left wondering when Oro would make his appearance. Well, this question seems to have been answered with the latest update in Fortnite. V12.21 didn’t contain much, but it did bring new challenges for Oro, hinting at his arrival.
New Oro challenges in Fortnite Season 2
Though the challenges for Oro don’t give us any official insight, we can make a couple of assumptions. The first of which is that the Oro skin will be released sometime in the next couple of weeks. As you can see below, completing the challenges doesn’t earn you the actual skin. Instead, you’re rewarded with other cosmetics, like a new pickaxe.

The challenge set is named “Awaken Oro,” which is clearly another hint signaling Oro’s arrival in Fortnite. Presumably, if you complete all of the challenges, then you’ll earn the Oro skin whenever it releases.
What’s the secret Battle Pass skin?
Every season of Fortnite since Season 4 has featured a special Battle Pass skin that is unlocked by completing challenges. At the start of Season 2, we thought that Deadpool was going to be this secret skin as the character has challenges dedicated to him.
However, many are starting to suspect that Oro is the actual Battle Pass skin for Season 2. If this is the case, then Deadpool could become available at a later time for those who completed his challenges. We’re not entirely sure about any of this though, so we’ll have to wait for more Fortnite updates.
