Player’s of Excelerate Gaming’s former Call of Duty team have finally caught a break as Team EnVyUs’s owner agrees to pay for their travel expenses for CWL Fort Worth.

All five members were dropped by Excelerate Gaming amid allegations of blackmail and withheld payments from the organization. As a result, the team was left stranded with no way of attending next week’s Call of Duty World League Championship event.

Team Envy owner Mike “Hastr0” Rufail learned of the player’s trouble and offered to pay the team’s travel expenses.

Event organizers MLG were criticized by community for their response to the disgruntled players, however Hastr0 was quick to defend them, citing their experience and the unique nature of this issue.

Excelerate Gaming’s owners and management have been accused by their former players of attempting to sell the team’s spot in the CWL before the season started, so it's unlike that this controversy will go away anytime soon.

Meanwhile, former Excelerate Gaming players Michael “Beehzy” Said, Mike “MRuiz” Ruiz, Austin “Believe” Smith, Christopher “ProFeezy” Astudillo and Ethan “FA5TBALLA” Wedgeworth are now free to compete in next weekend's event with only their performance to worry about.
