Cloud9 sign flusha, replacing styko

This article is over 6 years old and may contain outdated information

After the announcement that Robin “flusha” Rönnquist would be joining Cloud9 ahead of Blast Pro Istanbul, now the organization has announced that in fact, it is going to sign the player on a permanent basis. This means dropping the current stand-in player, Martin “STYKO” Styk, who has not performed up to the expected standard. With the addition of flusha to the team, the Cloud9 roster looks as follows:

  • Robin “flusha” Rönnquist
  • Tyler “Skadoodle” Latham
  • William “RUSH” Wierzba
  • Timothy “autimatic” Ta
  • Maikil “Golden” Selim

Robin “flusha” Rönnquist is a three-time Major winner under the fnatic banner. Additionally, flusha has been voted as the second-best player in 2014 by HLTV, right behind Christopher “GeT_RiGhT” Alesund. He is an extremely experienced player and considered to be among the finest riflers in the game. However, can this be enough to get Cloud9 out of their slump? Although the roster looks promising it will most likely be a while before flusha adjusts to English communication within the team.

Cloud9 has had trouble ever since their Major victory in Krakow in March of this year. Things got even worse when two of their star players – Jake “Stewie2K” Yip and Tarik “tarik” Celik – left to MIBR. The team has been struggling to find consistency and the hope is that flush will bring expertise to the table to revive the bleeding Cloud9 roster. Whether this can be done, however, remains a mystery until we see some matches. Hopefully, Cloud9 can show something during the upcoming Blast Pro Istanbul.
