The players of Cloud9 Academy
The players in Cloud9’s 2020 LCS Academy roster boast their own achievements when it comes to League of Legends. Fudge and k1ng, for instance, helped team Mammoth to reach the Worlds 2019 Play-In stage. Inori helped ANEW Esports win take home the gold in the 2019 Scouting Grounds Circuit Finals. Palafox helped his previous team, Golden Guardians Academy, set a 14-4 record and take home the silver in Riot’s 2019 NA Academy League summer season.
“There’s always an electricity to bringing in new talent, and it’s a feeling that sparks both motivation and growth,” Jack Etienne, Cloud9’s CEO and owner, said. “Our roster and staff have a deep knowledge and commitment of the game and we’re all itching to kick things off once again.”
Diamond has been with Cloud9 in the past, and he helped them achieve a 15-3 record within the team league.
“We had a very strong showing in our most recent split and we’re all eager to continue that success this year,” Reignover said. “Our new players are excited to make C9 proud and we’re thrilled to have Diamond as our veteran presence. This will be a great year!”
Cloud9 plans to reveal more information about the start of the season. Fans and players can join in on the esports organization’s official Discord server for updates as well.
