OverActive Media’s Toronto Defiant just landed themselves a sweet new media partner. Canon Canada will now be their exclusive camera and media streaming partner. OAM signed a multi-year-long deal with the popular camera brand. Check out the announcement video below.
Tyler Keenan, OAM’s VP of Global Partnerships praised the new deal in the following statement:
An important part of growing our OAM brands will be the ability to tell compelling athlete and team stories, and we are thrilled to have found a partner in Canon to do just that. Starting right away, Canon will become a critical part of our Toronto Defiant journey, outfitting our content team with top notch equipment so that we can continue to highlight our players. On behalf of all of us in our organization, I want to welcome Canon into our growing OAM family.
What this means for Toronto Defiant and Canon
Canon will now exclusively be the camera used by Toronto Defiant for all their media needs. It will include any official streams. Toronto Defiant’s first official photo shoot with Canon was released today. This was actually shot in Los Angeles in order to promote the use of Canon products throughout the rest of the 2019 season. Check out one of the photos for yourself below. Canon is well-known in the world of media, photography, and now streaming. This seems to be a match made in heaven.
A new “Defiant Stream Zone” will be established during the 2020 season. Canon was also named the official patron of Toronto Defiant’s “Behind the Lens” series. This will be a new series taking fans behind the scenes with team members for photo shoots and videos. OverActive Media continues to grow its brand by partnering with more and more key patrons. This is just another episode in the expansion of esports.
