Can Falinks be Shiny in Pokémon Go?

Find out before you start hunting.

Pokémon Sword and Shield continue to get growing representation in Pokémon Go and Falinks is a perfect example of that. The Fighting-type Pokémon has been available in the mobile hit since 2021, but there’s something you’ve probably noticed.

We bet you haven’t seen any Shiny versions of Falinks roaming around in Pokémon Go, but why is that? While Shiny Pokémon are rare, some aren’t available at all meaning there is no reason to go on a hunt for that particular variant.

Before you put your time into seeking out a Shiny form of Falinks here is what its current Shiny status looks like in Pokémon Go.

Despite being in Pokémon Go for almost three years now you still can’t find the Shiny form of Falinks in Niatic’s AR hit.

There is no way that you can get this unique variant of Falkins right now, but it does seem likely that down the line Pokémon Go will make this version available. It’s just not clear when that time will come.

Falinks is far from the first Pokémon to show up in Go without a Shiny form, and it isn’t the only one still left with just a standard look. Typically these Pokémon get their Shiny variant down the line when being featured in unique events, so look out for any event announcements tied to the Fighting-type Pokémon.

Once Falinks’ Shiny form does launch this article will be updated to reflect the new information. Fingers crossed we finally get that Shiny in 2024.
