Over the past few weeks, Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific had been plagued with a particular bug that was ruining matches left and right. The bug was centered around the Tier 100 Battle Pass Francis Operator skin, named “Awoken.” Essentially, if players equipped this skin, they could turn invisible to enemies past 35 meters. The orange mask of the skin would be the only thing that players could see if this happened.
Obviously, this was a huge glitch in Warzone Pacific. However, Raven Software and other Activision developers were on holiday break up until this week. This means they couldn’t fix any issues within the game. The devs are back now, though, and they immediately got to work patching the invisible skin glitch in Warzone Pacific.
There was an update released Wednesday that patched the skin along with a few other bugs. Players can see the full update patch notes below.
Invisible skin glitch patched in Warzone Pacific update
There were only four bullet points in the Wednesday update. Raven let it be known that more was incoming in the near future, though.
Gameplay
- In Vanguard Modes, the Firesale public event will now last for the entire duration of the respective circle that it starts with.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed collision issues with various elements across Caldera allowing players to exploit/peek/shoot through them.
- Fixed an issue causing every loadout drop to spawn at the exact same XY coordinates.
- Fixed an issue causing the “Awoken” Francis Operator Skin to appear invisible beyond a certain distance.
The glitch with the Awoken skin is by far the most notable patch note. This skin was considered to be pay-to-win prior to this update, as players could purchase all 100 Tiers of the Battle Pass and become invisible when equipping the Tier 100 skin. This glitch should be stamped out now, returning Warzone Pacific matches to normal.
