The new Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Days of Summer seasonal event is going live today, June 4. The initial trailer announcing the new event said, “Summertime begins June 4th in Operation Spectre Rising, and the whole crew’s ready to party.” It showed characters flipping burgers, playing ring toss, constructing sand castles, surfing, and playing volleyball. The summer event is not an entirely new update though. It is just the second half of the Spectre Rising operation. The update should be released at around 1 p.m. CT.

In a reply to a tweet by FaZe Testyment, Treyarch Studios confirmed that there will also be a new sniper being added with the Operation Spectre Rising event. Other tweets in response to the original trailer announcement gave away other details relating to the update. Most likely many of the other additions will include an assortment of cosmetics like other recent updates.

Treyarch Twitter also mentioned that the next operation will launch in July. The full patch notes for the Days of Summer seasonal event update will be also posted tomorrow. Keep up with all of the latest Call of Duty news and content here at Daily Esports.
