After a rough year with TSM, Sergen “Broken Blade” Çelik will officially be joining League of Legends LEC team FC Schalke 04 Esports. The news was announced on Evil Geniuses and Jacob Wolf’s Free Agency show, then confirmed by Schalke’s official Twitter account.

Broken Blade carries a history of joining several teams since the start of his professional esports career. His most recent team, TSM, had decided to let him go once he became a free agent, opening up plenty of opportunities for LEC teams to consider him. The 20-year-old German player has been with TSM since November 2018, only winning the LCS 2020 Summer Playoffs. Before then, he showed promising results for the Turkish Championship League when he played under Dark Passage.

Although Schalke has been struggling to reach top place in several important matches, Broken Blade may be just what they need to improve the team’s overall performance. Towards the end of the LEC 2020 Summer Playoffs, Schalke was about to reach 5th place.

From Schalke to Rogue

Odoamne, on the other hand, is heading to Rogue, leaving behind the team he’s been with since 2018. The news was shared via Rogue’s Twitter page, presenting a ‘Welcome’ video to both Odoamne and their newest support Adrian “Trymbi” Trybus. Trymbi is now promoted from AGO Rogue, replacing Oskar “VandeR” Bogdan.

These players are expected to agree and sign to their contracts as soon as free agency opens. Overall, this is the first time Broken Blade will be heading to Europe to play in the LEC. There is no word as of yet in regards to player salary or other roster changes.

As Free Agency begins, fans can expect official statements from the teams to come about very soon. Stick with Daily Esports for more League of Legends news and updates!
