BruttJ passes at 19
Imperial Esports confirmed that the player had passed away, but they noted that the cause of death was unknown. The organization stated that the player had started to get headaches in early December. Because of this, he left the team’s gaming house in São Paulo and returned home to his family in Rio de Janeiro. At the time of his passing, bruttJ was receiving treatment in a hospital in the capital.
On December 7, the player posted to social media at 8:00 p.m. that he wanted to leave the hospital and play CSGO until 8:00 in the morning. He then followed this up on Dec 8 with a message thanking his fans for supporting him during the situation. This went on to become his last tweet, with team members and fans paying tribute in the replies.
Talented CSGO player
BruttJ served as an AWPer and Rifler on teams like Super Nova Academy, Vitória eSports, Team Reapers, and finally Imperial Esports. While on Team Reaper, the player took the team to first-place finishes at events like Up Expo Game 2019 and South America’s ESEA Proving Grounds 2019. Other placements include 2nd at Season 31 of Brazil’s ESEA Open Division, 5 – 6 at Gamers Club Masters III, and 3 – 4 at Season 8 of ESL Brasil Premier League’s Online Stage.
