Black Ops Cold War Season 4 patch notes: weapon tuning and more

Season 4 of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is just a day away and, as per usual, Treyarch has released the patch notes for the new installment. This update goes live one day prior to the Season 4 content fully unlocking — which occurs at 12 a.m. ET on June 17. Players will still have access to all of the weapon tuning and other adjustments included in the June 16 update, though.

The update for Cold War goes live at 12 a.m. ET on June 16. This does not include any changes to Warzone, as that will be included in the main Season 4 update on June 17.

Treyarch began the patch notes with a brief overview of what fans can expect in the new season. This includes details on the Battle Pass, cosmetics, weapons, maps, modes and a new in-season event. That information can be found on the official roadmap for Season 4 or on Treyarch’s website.

As for the actual patch notes, the developers didn’t do as extensive a round of weapon tuning as last season. However, there are some substantial changes to the assault rifle category, as well as adjustments to League Play. There are also new features that have been requested by the community.
