The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War mid-season update has arrived. Activision released the new content for all systems and also gave the update a name, “Season 1 Reloaded.” The long-awaited update introduces some brand new content and also revealed a roadmap for future content. Each mode received a piece of the cake, as Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone all have something new in-store. While some fans were expecting a little more from today’s update, the future looks bright for Black Ops Cold War. Below, you can find the full patch notes for the Season 1 Reloaded update as well as a look ahead at what’s to come.
What’s new in Black Ops Cold War Season 1 Reloaded?
If you’re strictly looking for new multiplayer content, you might be somewhat disappointed. While Activision did release a new map and weapon, they aren’t exactly what fans were looking for.
Now live for all players in multiplayer is the Sanatorium Fireteam map and Wakizashi sword. Sanatorium was leaked long ago, but now fans finally can play on the modern-looking map. As for the Wakizashi sword, it’s not an actual weapon, but should be enjoyable to use.
Also new in multiplayer is the Dropkick game mode, which sees two teams of six fighting over a briefcase located somewhere on the map. The first team to earn 200 points wins the game and is rewarded with an “explosive ending.”
Moving on from multiplayer, Zombies fans can enjoy the new game mode Cranked. While fans of the undead mode wanted a little more, Treyarch did reveal a new map named “Firebase Z” coming on Feb. 4.
The Dark Aether story continues in Season One.
FIREBASE Z arrives February 4th, free for all players.

Speaking of Feb. 4, this is also when Black Ops Cold War multiplayer will receive a reimagined version of the map Express. Hailing from Black Ops 2, this beloved map is receiving its first remake in the franchise. You can view the full roadmap for Season 1 Reloaded below.
Finally, Warzone didn’t receive any major update besides some new playlists. However, fans are more than pleased right now after yesterday’s weapon balancing update.
That’s it for the Season 1 Reloaded patch notes. Make sure to stay tuned for all news here at Daily Esports.
