Names like Pamaj and zzirGrizz inspired many of us to pick up a sniper rifle and try and get clips of our own. While it may not be as popular as it was back in the early 2010s, plenty of CoD players still exclusively wield a sniper in the hopes of hitting one awesome collateral.

Best MW3 sniper rifle for Quickscoping

Currently, the best sniper rifle for Quickscoping in Modern Warfare 3 is the Longbow.

Some have suggested that the SP-X 80 or the KATT-AMR are better, but the general consensus remains that the Longbow is overall the king of Quickscoping, so it’s worth trying it out at least if. Having tried all three personally, I thought the Longbow was the easiest to use. The SP-X 80 was quicker but slightly harder to aim, and I didn’t enjoy the KATT-AMR at all.

Best MW3 Quickscoping loadout

  • Weapon: Longbow
  • Underbarrel: XTEN TX-12 Handstop
  • Barrel: Pro-99 Long Barrel
  • Laser: SL Razorhawk Laser Light
  • Stock: No Stock
  • Rear Grip: Citadel Grip

This Longbow loadout is pretty straightforward but will help you hit shots quickly and efficiently. Going for No Stock and adding the XTEN TX-12 Handstop helps decrease your ADS speed, while the SL Razorhawk Laser Light will help you aim while also helping with ADS time and aim walking steadiness.

  • Vest: Infantry Vest
  • Gloves: Scavenger Gloves
  • Boots: Lightweight Boots
  • Field Equipment: EOD Padding
  • Lethal: Semtex
  • Tactical: Flash Grenade

The Infantry Vest is definitely the one I would choose if Quickscoping, as the increased Tactical Sprint ability lets you move around the map quickly. Lightweight Boots also help in this regard, so pairing them up will have you flying around.

Scavenger Boots will make sure you don’t run out of ammo, while EOD Padding will help with any grenades that get lobbed your way. Your Lethal and Tactical Grenades are personal preference really, I’ve just always preferred a Semtex over a Frag, and Flash Bangs always help you get out of trouble.

What is Quickscoping in Call of Duty

Quickscoping is the act of killing an enemy with a sniper rifle without fully aiming down the weapon’s sight. A shot is fired immediately after the animation, giving no time for moving the crosshair.

It’s a tricky skill to master as it requires practice and understanding the animations and aim of your weapon, but like many things in life, if you put in the time and work at it, you too can pop heads with ease and get some clips of your own.
