The Longbow is currently not the meta sniping option for Ranked Play in Call of Duty MW3, but it’s easily the best quickscoping choice. If you want to use the Longbow in Ranked, though, you are out of luck, as the sniper is restricted in the mode. However, if you want to use the Longbow in a competitive way, I do have its best loadout for that purpose.
To see the best loadout for the Longbow in MW3 competitive, keep reading my guide below.
Best Longbow competitive loadout in MW3
- Barrel: Pro-99 Long Barrel
- Stock: No Stock
- Bolt: SA-M Quickbolt
- Underbarrel: DR-6 Handstop
- Rear Grip: Nought-Z3 Grip
As you might expect, this loadout is centered around mobility to give you the best chances for quickscoping success. You want to ensure you’re aiming for the upper body of enemies, though, as you will see a ton of hitmarkers if you don’t. To help with that, however, I added the Pro-99 Long Barrel to the loadout, which boosts bullet velocity and damage range.

There’s also the SA-M Quickbolt to increase your rechambering speed, or fire rate. The rest of the attachments, the DR-6 Handstop, No Stock, and Nought-Z3 Grip, all improve your mobility stats.
Best Class Setup for the Longbow in competitive
Finally, I have all of the additional items you need for your Longbow class, which follow the Ranked Play ruleset.
- Infantry Vest
Secondary Weapon
- Renetti
Perks
- Gloves – Marksman Gloves or Quick-Grip Gloves
- Boots – Covert Sneakers
- Gear – Tac Mask or EOD Padding
Equipment
- Lethal – Frag Grenade or Semtex Grenade
- Tactical – Stun Grenade or Smoke Grenade
Field Upgrade
- Trophy System
And with that, you’re ready to start quickscoping in competitive modes in MW3. I highly recommend only using a sniper in Search and Destroy when playing competitive unless you want some angry teammates.
