There are two burst assault rifles in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, the DG-56 and the FR 5.56. While the FR 5.56 is a strong weapon, it can’t compare to the DG-56 in MW3, which has an outstanding loadout that can one-burst enemies from any range.

The DG-56 is a three-round burst assault rifle that has a terrific fire rate, recoil control, and damage range. The only thing that can hold you back from succeeding with it is your control with a burst weapon. If you miss some of your bursts, then you’ll likely be outgunned by an enemy with a fully automatic weapon. To make sure that doesn’t happen, you need the absolute strongest attachments on the DG-56.

  • Muzzle: Casus Brake
  • Barrel: CDG T-25 Light Barrel
  • Optic: MK. 3 Reflector
  • Underbarrel: Bruen Heavy Support Grip

This loadout is fully focused on improving the recoil control of the DG-56 in MW3. I have equipped the Casus Brake to eliminate horizontal recoil and the Bruen Heavy Support Grip and Varanus Steady Grip to increase gun kick control and vertical recoil.

The CDG T-25 Light Barrel helps with bullet velocity and damage range for those long-range gunfights while the MK. 3 Reflector is the best overall optic for assault rifles. However, if you want to use the iron sights of the DG-56, I suggest replacing that attachment slot with a stock or comb attachment.
