Alliance announce new Dota roster

The new Alliance Dota roster hopes to be a new beginning.

Alliance announced its new roster for the 2021-2022 Dota Pro Circuit on Thursday. After The International 10, the team only had Nikolay “Nikobaby” Nikolov and Simon “Handsken” Haag remaining on the roster. Now Alliance have added three new members to round out their squad.

Alliance had a lackluster year compared to how the organization was expected to do in 2021. During the first regular season of 2021, Alliance ended in first and were considered one of the strongest teams in the Western Europe Dota Pro Circuit. However, ever since the first season, the team has struggled to perform on the same level. They started in the lower bracket and were eliminated by Team Spirit in the first round of the major. While they made it into The International 10 due to Dota Pro Circuit points, it was clear that Alliance were not as strong as they were earlier in the year. They made it through the group stages and were able to beat Beastcoast in the first round. However, the story repeated itself and they lost to T1, a tournament favorite. Due to the way the season ended, Alliance decided to make changes.

Alliance have recruited talented North American offlaner, Rodrigo “Leslão” Santos from Quincy Crew. He was part of a team that ended first in the latest North America Dota Pro Circuit. Quincy Crew have had admirable performances in international competition throughout 2021, ending 5-6th in the WePlay AniMajor and 9th-12th in the International 10. Adam “Aramis” Moroz and Ondřej “Supream^” Štarha complete the team. Both players are still new in the scene, mainly playing for tier two teams. They played for Vikin.gg and High Coast Esports respectively. They are ready to take on a new challenge with an organization that has as much history as Alliance. Hopefully this will lead to positive changes for the team’s next season.
