All the teams going to Worlds 2022

The VCS teams return but the LCL's spot will be given to the LEC

24 of the best League of Legends teams qualify to the annual World Championship and most of the teams are already locked in. Worlds 2022 will be held in Mexico and the United States, taking place from September 29th to November 5th; the finals will be held in the Chase Arena in San Francisco, California.

Until they announce otherwise, fans are allowed to attend the event live, the same as the 2022 Mid-Season Invitational held in Busan, South Korea.

All the teams participating at Worlds 2022

This year will finally see the return of the Vietnam Championship Series teams who were unable to participate in the last two years due to the global COVID pandemic.

However, we will not see any team from the LoL Continental League from the Commonwealth of Independent States due to the current war in Ukraine which lead to its cancellation from spring. Their slot has been awarded to the LoL European Championship; the LEC will have four seeds for this edition of Worlds.

G2 are guaranteed no lower than second seed and MAD Lions are locked in as the fourth seed from the LEC; while Cloud9 are guaranteed no lower than second seed from the LCS. The other teams continue to play for seeding. The LEC and LCS resume their playoffs on September 10th and the Worlds Draw Show will take place after the conclusion the LCS finals.
