AGO Rogue signs new players to League of Legends roster

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Earlier this week, we learned of AGO Rogue’s first League of Legends player signings in the bot lane and jungle positions. Today, they have signed several new members to the roster for the 2020 Ultraliga. These new additions complete the roster that will compete in the upcoming Ultraliga, which starts Jan. 28.

Introducing AGO Rogue’s new Mid laner

The first signing announcement was of PaweÅ‚ “Czekolad” Szczepanik. Czekolad has been one of the top mid laners in the Polish league for some time now, and now he is getting another chance to prove himself in his home country. In May 2019, he took the opportunity to compete alongside the MAD Lions team in Spain. This was after Czekolad and his former team, Pride, won the 2019 Polish Open. Now, however, he is back and making moves. Last month, he competed alongside his new teammate Patryk “Mystiques” Piórkowski in the Polska Liga Esportowa 2019.

A rocky start for the new top laner

Mathias “Szygenda” Jensen is the new top laner for the AGO Rogue roster for the 2020 Ultraliga. However, earlier today, Riot Games revealed a competitive ruling against the Danish player. Szygenda has supposedly used discriminatory language in-game in recent times. The article states that, while no previous warnings were given to Szygenda, he will be suspended until Feb. 6.

During this time, the substitute top laner for AGO Rogue will be Sebastian “Color” Czyżyk. Color has a history in the Polish and Nordic League of Legends scenes. He is, however, still looking for the major success that could land him in the League of Legends European Championship (LEC). After failing to qualify for the Nordic Championship 2020 Spring alongside the FALKN roster, he now has this opportunity to compete in the Ultraliga instead.

Whether Color will remain with the team past the first week of the Ultraliga has not yet been revealed. However, it will be exciting to see the new roster compete in the Ultraliga in two weeks. For more League of Legends news, be sure to read all about G2 Esport’s newest substitute player.
