100 Thieves’ CS:GO coach Chet “ImAPet” Singh is exploring options for going competitive in Valorant according to multiple sources. DeKay on Twitter broke this news hours before 100 Thieves match against Triumph. ImAPet joined the 100 Thieves CS:GO team in May after leaving his coaching position with Evil Geniuses. Multiple CS:GO professionals have made the jump to Valorant now that the scene is beginning to explode in popularity.

Since ImAPet joined 100 Thieves the team has continued to struggle in online tournaments. Now after only four months of coaching the Thieves, ImAPet is looking for a new opportunity. The 24-year-old has been a coach in the CS:GO scene since 2016 when he joined Counter Logic Gaming. Since then he has coached for Optic Gaming, NRG Esports, and Evil Geniuses. ImAPet is widely known for his part in helping Evil Geniuses rise to stardom in 2019 when they won ESL One: New York. However internal issues forced ImAPet to leave the organization and eventually join 100 Thieves who released Aleksandar “kassad” Trifunović. Kassad recently joined Cloud9 to form their new super-squad.

ImAPet’s opportunities in Valorant

If ImAPet does make the transition to Valorant it appears that he will not be staying with 100 Thieves. The 100 Thieves Valorant team currently consists of Spencer “Hiko” Martin, Josh “steel” Nissan, and Nick “nitr0” Cannella. A coach has not been officially announced but the team has heavily hinted at having one already on stream.  This information would support ImAPet not moving to Valorant to coach 100 Thieves instead of CS:GO.

Multiple Valorant rosters have begun reconfiguring rosters now that the Ignition Series has ended. Teams like T1, Dignitas, Immortals, and more are all rotating people around. If ImAPet is looking for a professional position, there are multiple possible opportunities for him. There is also room for him to become a coach for any team that doesn’t already have one or is looking for a change.
