The best Rival-9 loadout in Modern Warfare 3 beta

A mobile force on the map

There are two weapons that have primarily dominated the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 beta thus far: the MCW and the Striker. These are easily the two strongest guns in multiplayer at this point, so it’s no surprise to see them appear in the killfeed most often. However, if you’re looking for a change of pace, I recommend using the Rival-9 and its best loadout in Modern Warfare 3.

The Rival-9 is a more mobile, yet less powerful submachine gun compared to the Striker. This makes it enjoyable to move around the map with but tends to be frustrating when trying to kill enemies, especially those at longer ranges. Luckily, with the strongest set of attachments on the Rival-9, you can turn it into a solid alternative to the Striker.

To see the best loadout for the Rival-9 in Modern Warfare 3, check out the guide below.

Best Rival-9 loadout in the Modern Warfare 3 beta

  • Muzzle: L4R Flash Hider
  • Barrel: Rival-38E Fire Starter Barrel
  • Laser: Sapphire-12 Laser
  • Underbarrel: XRK Edge BW-4 Handstop
  • Rear Grip: Rival Vice Assault Grip

This loadout offers a mix of attachments that will boost your mobility and recoil control while using the Rival-9. The added recoil control allows you to hit enemies at longer ranges while the mobility increases help you even more at close range. The Sapphire-12 Laser and the Rival-38E Fire Starter Barrel are the only attachments to increase mobility, but they do more than enough for you. Attachments like the XRK Edge BW-4 Handstop and Rival Vice Assault Grip take care of the recoil control buffs.

As for the rest of the loadout, the L4R Flash Hider keeps you hidden from the radar when firing, which is important in MW3 since red dots are back on the mini-map. The Rival-9 might not beat the Striker at longer ranges, but it’s an enjoyable weapon to use, especially if you’re a more aggressive and mobile player.
