During the course of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 beta, the two most popular weapon categories by a wide margin have been the assault rifle and submachine gun classes. This is always the case, as the strongest guns usually lie in one of those two classes. However, this doesn’t mean that guns in other categories aren’t strong as well. The best example of this lies with the BAS-B battle rifle, which has a killer loadout in Modern Warfare 3.
The BAS-B is a traditional battle rifle that has both a fully-auto and semi-auto firing mode. You can choose between these firing modes depending on your situation, but I usually stick with the fully-auto mode to make sure I can survive any tough close-range gunfights. Of course, your chances will be better in any gunfight once you throw on the strongest set of attachments for the BAS-B.
To see the best loadout for the BAS-B in Modern Warfare 3, check out the guide below.
Best BAS-B loadout in the Modern Warfare 3 beta
- Barrel: Wyvern’s Respite Long Barrel
- Optic: MK.23 Reflector
- Stock:Â FSS Ravager-45 Stock
- Underbarrel: Kimura RYN-03 Vertical Grip
- Magazine: 30 Round Mag
The goal of this loadout is to increase all of the important stats for a battle rifle in MW3. I start off with the Wyvern’s Respite Long Barrel, which boosts bullet velocity, range, and aiming stability. That’s followed up by the Kimura RYN-03 Vertical Grip to provide a huge increase in recoil control.

The final stat buff comes from the FSS Ravager-45 Stock, which improves your overall mobility to make your gun feel less sluggish. The loadout is rounded out with the MK.23 Reflector optic and the 30 Round Mag to ensure you don’t run out of bullets too quickly during a gunfight.
